Years of Experience
Tenants Represented
Evan Margolin is a Vice Chairman in JLL’s Midtown Manhattan office where he is a leader in the tenant representation group. Evan has developed a diverse practice, yet remains focused on users of high-end, Class A office space, having represented well over 100 hedge funds and other boutique financial services firms in office leasing transactions. He is thoroughly immersed in the Midtown Manhattan marketplace – knowing when leases expire in the top buildings, which firms are evaluating their real estate needs and what spaces are available, whether officially listed, or potentially available for sublease.
Evan is a career tenant representative with nearly 25 years of experience advocating solely for office space users, not landlords. As such, Evan’s guidance and counsel are never compromised when formulating real estate strategies that complement his clients’ long-term business plans and he is recognized for exceeding expectations through exceptional service and tenacious advocacy.
Prior to JLL, Evan joined Studley (now Savills) in early 2002, after completing the sale of his family-owned business (and a short career as a day trader). Evan earned his first promotion in less than six months and was recognized as having the quickest ascent from associate to vice chairman in Savills’ history. In 2015, Evan was recognized as the ‘Top Performing Broker’ among the 600+ brokerage professionals nationally. Some of his notable clients include:
Evan earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and management from The State University of New York at Albany. He is an active member of Young Men’s and Women’s Real Estate Association (YMWREA), The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and The State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany Alumni Association. Evan is a breast cancer survivor with a goal of increasing male breast cancer awareness and is on the board of The Breast Cancer Alliance.
